99%
of the population of Japan is surely Japanese. The rest of the population
is Ins (about 20%). Japanese is the official language of Japan. People mostly live in towns and urban districts. They are busy in heavy
industry (about 30% of the whole population). Japan is the leading
industrial country. Steel production, electronics, electrical engineering
can be found in this country.
However, as mineral resources are limited, the Japanese industry strongly
depends on import. Shipbuilding is highly developed in Japan. The native
people are involved in art craft business, so you can buy lots of souvenirs
and things made by them. For example, the art of bonsai, that is the tree
in a pot, is, of course, a Japanese tradition. With prudent approach you
can grow bonsai for a week and take home this wonderful gift of Japan.
People in Japan are different in their behavior. It depends on some factors:
age, status, occupation, background, and so on. The older generation is
more formal, but very polite and friendly. Young people are more informal.
Anyway, Japanese respect any person they meet, have a lot of good friends
abroad and they are very surprised if their letters remain unanswered.
