99% of the population of Japan is surely Japanese. The rest of the population is Ins (about 20%). Japanese is the official language of Japan. People mostly live in towns and urban districts. For example, the art of bonsai, that is the tree in a pot, is, of course, a Japanese tradition. With prudent approach you can grow bonsai for a week and take home this wonderful gift of Japan.

           People in Japan are different in their behavior. It depends on some factors: age, status, occupation, background, and so on. The older generation is more formal, but very polite and friendly. Young people are more informal. Anyway, Japanese respect any person they meet, have a lot of good friends abroad and they are very surprised if their letters remain unanswered.
